Breathtaking beaches, beautiful sunsets, colourful homes, pubs to incite the party animal in you, casinos in the middle of the sea, thrilling adventure- sports and shacks that instantly put you on ‘vacay’ mood. No wonder then- we have all been making our Goa plans since forever!
BUT THIS TIME IT WAS DIFFERENT FOR US BECAUSE…..It was a Goa plan that we actually executed!
The ultimate guide to executing your GOA plan is here 😉
Book your buses/flights/trains as soon as you start making plans
(this ensures that your friends will come on the trip and solidifies the plan)
Tip 1: VRL, Purple, Paulo are known to be the best buses from Mumbai/Pune
Tip 2: The airport is far away from the main city. Be ready to shell out anything between Rs. 1000-2000 to reach your hotel. Now there are direct buses available from the airport to Calangute for less than half the price. ( You can treat me with the money you saved 😛)
Know which area of Goa you want to cover-North or South or both(even better)
South Goa is calm, relaxed, less crowded and perfect for a family vacation with kids.
North Goa is that part of Goa where all the parties happen(Guess which part we visited for our bachelorette? 😉
Book your hotel (See recommended hotels below)
Take contacts of people who rent out cars/ scooties.
Tip 1: We had already booked our car( Rs. 1200/- a day) who gave it to us at our hotel and from which we headed to the beaches.
Shop till you drop. You can’t go to Goa without a ‘Goa wardrobe’ 😛
Welcome to Goa!!
Tip 1: The prepaid taxi available near the bus stand from Mapusa cost us 400/- bucks. Prefer that over the private ones!
